What We Do

To spark and support local innovation around green jobs, the National Fund Affinity Group:

Brings together intellectual energy of the private, philanthropic, and public sector;
Supports a dynamic learning community of that develops and shares “best in class” practices around green jobs;
Disseminates lessons that are useful for entities working to prepare jobseekers and entry-level employees access green jobs and career opportunities;
Will build a learning community comprised of a broad range of organizations playing a leadership role in green jobs sector development;

The goal of the NFWS Green Affinity Group is to become a dynamic learning community that develops and shares “best in class” green jobs practices, including partnerships with green employers, funders, government agencies, and Workforce Investment Boards. The NFWS Green Affinity Group will regularly convene webinars and peer learning meetings to both share best practices and allow members to engage in mutual problem solving and strategy development.
